Grow It, Eat It, Preserve It - Canning Workshop Series
About this Event
This food preservation series is intended to provide a hands-on learning experience for beginners and advanced canners.
There will be a typical workshop class lecture, followed by participants going into the kitchen to make their own canned produce that they will bring home that day!
T here will be two workshops offered.
- August 14, from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm where participants will be learing about Water Bath canning and working to can peaches.
- August 15, from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm where participants will be learning about pressure canning and working to can green beans.
Each class is $20, you can sign up for both and save $5 on the registration cost. If you require special accommodations, please contact our office at least two weeks prior to the event at 301-791-1404.
