Learn to Grow: Composting
About this Event
Composting is the process by which microbes convert organic materials, leaves, kitchen scraps, and garden waste into a valuable product which, when used on gardens, lawns, and houseplants, results in healthier plant growth. Composting also reduces waste, improves soil structure, adds nutrients to the soil, and suppresses plant diseases, weeds and pests. Presented by EMG volunteer, Bonnie Refinski-Knight.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, N.C. Cooperative Extension will honor requests for reasonable accommodations made by individuals with disabilities.
