Kids Are Artists Too - FREE Art Class and Story Time
About this Event
Kids Are Artists Too- FREE Art class and Storytime
Free Saturday Art Class for All Ages & Abilities (even the young at heart)!
July 26th, 1-3pm
Join us at the Hallberg Center for the Arts for a free art experience on the fourth Saturday of every month in 2025!
This inclusive class is designed for all ages and skill levels. The session begins with an inspiring picture story read by local storyteller and tutor, Ashley, from Keep it Up Tutoring, followed by an engaging art project led by local artist, Surelle. (Parents are required to stay with younger children.)
This Month we will be reading The Shape of the World: A Portrait of Frank Lloyd Wright, by K.L. Going. and experimenting with a type of camera-less photography called Cyanotype, which is the same way they make blueprints for houses! We will use all kinds of unexpected materials to create our masterpieces!
This FREE class was made possible by the voters of MN through a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund!
