Approaching Conflict with Courage: Navigate Tension with Clarity and Care
About this Event
Each day in the social sector can feel like stepping into the unknown. Rapid change, deepening divisions, and a normalization of fear are reshaping how we show up to our work. To keep moving toward our missions, we need more than resilience - we need the skills and courage to face conflict head-on. Conflict is inevitable, and avoiding it isn’t an option. What matters is how we respond: Can we stay grounded in our purpose under pressure? Can we speak with clarity through tension and disagreement, uphold strong boundaries, and lead with our values at the center?
In this workshop, you will:
- Explore your unique conflict and communication styles—and how they’re shaped by your values, identities, and lived experiences.
- Learn practical tools and strategies to build trust, navigate tough conversations, and strengthen your day-to-day working relationships.
- Practice applying organizational approaches that center shared values, clarify decision-making, and create feedback loops to deepen your team’s ability to move through conflict together.
Who should attend?
Whether you're a seasoned leader or just stepping into your first leadership role, this half-day workshop is designed to help you grow your confidence and capacity to hold generative conflict.
