Growing a Native Herb Garden in Colorado
About this Event
Welcome to Growing a Native Herb Garden in Colorado!
Join us for a half-day workshop that aims to explore the exciting worlds of herbs and pollinator habitats, and how well they can intersect here in Colorado.
We will talk about the importance of Native plants and pollinator habitats, their positive impact on the ecosystem, and how you can start your pollinator herb garden. We will discuss a comprehensive list of herbs, shrubs, and trees that are native to Colorado, looking at both their herbal actions and their growth habits. We will additionally briefly touch on the ethical harvesting of plants in your gardens and nature. You will leave with knowledge on how to prepare for, design, and plant a pollinator garden filled with herbs and plants to support you and your local ecosystem.
