Cultivating Growth, Connection, and Well-Being in Youth Sports

About this Event

Join us for a thought-provoking presentation by Travis Snider, former Major League Baseball player, first-round draft pick, and co-founder of 3A Athletics. Travis will shares his journey through professional sports and his mission to reshape the culture of youth athletics. With a career that spanned 16 years, including eight in the MLB playing for the Toronto Blue Jays, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Baltimore Orioles, Travis brings a unique perspective into the hidden pressures of competitive sports, especially as they affect young athletes.

As a father of three and a youth coach himself, Travis now works to change the narrative around youth athletics. In this event, he will dive into how the current sports culture—driven by pressure to perform, win-at-all-costs mentalities, and over-scheduling—can lead to stress, anxiety, and burnout in kids. He will explore how these pressures often spill into other areas of life, including school, relationships, and self-esteem, and offer real, actionable strategies for creating a healthier, more supportive experience for kids in sports.

Attendees will be introduced to the tools and frameworks developed through 3A Athletics to help parents, coaches, and mentors refocus on what really matters: emotional development, connection, and long-term well-being. Whether your child is an aspiring athlete or simply trying to find joy in play, this event will provide meaningful insights and practical guidance for anyone invested in helping young people thrive.
