Each month, the Four Peaks Brewing 8th Street Pub will become the center of the universe for one night of fun, food, drinks, and everything space!
Join the official Valley of the Sun satellite of Astronomy on Tap as they take us on journeys across our planet, our solar system, and beyond.
Food and drink specials will be available for purchase.
This completely free event will feature different themes and speakers each month, so be sure to attend each one. The list below will be updated as more night, speakers, and details are added.
August 5 - 13th Anniversary of the Curiosity Landing on Mars
- Philip Christensen - Regents' Professor at the ASU School of Earth and Space Exploration
- Steven Ruff - Associate Research Professor (FSC) at the ASU School of Earth and Space Exploration
We will talk about Mars, its rovers, its history and how a team of scientists at Arizona State University are at the forefront of understanding the red planet. We will have activities, talks, rovers and more suprises.
September 9 - 30 Years Since the first Detection of Planet Orbiting a Star Similar to our Sun
We will discuss a discovery that changed our view of the universe that the Nobel Prize in 2019
October 7 - That's Metal! Psyche and Sending a Mission to a Metal-Rich Asteroid
- Jim Bell - Professor at the ASU School of Earth and Space Exploration, director of the ASU Space Technology and Science Initiative, and chief scientist of the ASU MILO Space Institute
