July Paint & Sip

Our artist of the month for July is William Morris. William Morris (1834–1896) was a British textile designer, writer, and key figure in the Arts and Crafts Movement. His visual work emphasized:

-Intricate, repeating patterns often inspired by nature (acanthus leaves, birds, flowers, vines).

-Flat but layered designs, with detailed linework and harmonious color palettes.

-A philosophy that art should be a part of everyday life — he designed wallpapers, textiles, furniture, and books.

-A return to handcraftsmanship and pre-industrial aesthetics, reacting against mass production.

For this Paint n Sip we will be working with decoupage and creating our own Morris inspired designs. Drink for the evening will be 🌸 The Morris Garden Spritz. A Prosecco and lemonade spritzer with floral notes.
