About this Event

Join us at Tierra Distilling Co for an evening of mahjong! Mahjong is a centuries-old tile game that is steeped in history, art, and tradition! This beginner lesson is designed for men, women, couples - all are welcome who might like to learn! Lisa from The Mahjong Guild will be on hand to teach all the beginner basics: from the tiles, the player card, and how to deal, to finding your best hand and much more. Enjoy a tasty cocktail from Tierra and learn something new in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere!

Ticket includes:

• All mahjong game pieces, accessories, cards, and teaching suppplies
• One mahjong themed cocktail from Tierra Distilling Co (or beverage of your choice)

**No outside food or drinks please. Pizza available for purchase from Tierra Distilling Co

Evening Timeline:

6:00-6:15pm • Players arrive, mingle, have their drinks and bites, find a seat

6:15-7:30pm • Beginner players learn brief history of the game, the tiles, and are introduced to the mahjong card.

7:30-7:40pm • Brief short break for refreshment

7:40-8:00pm • Dealing and the Charleston

8:00-9pm • Mahjong game play
