Restoration at the Upper Newport Bay (Riparian)
About this Event
OC Habitats invites you to join us to help restore the overall health of the riparian ecosystems at Upper Newport Bay! This coastal estuary and riparian habitat support diverse wildlife, including threatened and endangered species. You'll be helping us remove trash, invasive plant species, and introduced plant species to support native plant growth.
Park and meet: Free parking is available at the reserve's lot at the address listed above.
Please meet by 09:45 AM so we can start walking to the site by 10:00 AM.
Please have the following waivers completed prior to arrival:

We will provide gloves, collection bags, and hand tools.
Additional information: Please wear layers, sun protection, and bring a filled water bottle with you (water will not be available on site). We recommend long pants because the plants along the trail may scratch your legs. Please wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. If, for any reason, you are no longer able to attend the event, we'd kindly ask that you cancel your tickets no later than the day before so we know who to expect.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact OCH Staff at c3RhZmYgfCBvY2hhYml0YXRzICEgb3Jn.
Thank you, and we'll see you on site!
