At Camp TREAD X TRĀL, Destination: Happy Jack, you’ll embark on an exhilarating weekend filled with camping and backcountry driving, all guided by seasoned off-road professionals.
Every evening, you will enjoy dinner while forging new friendships and enhancing your off-road knowledge around the campfire. Your participation in this event supports the work that keeps Arizona's OHV trails open. So why not blend an adventurous weekend with a meaningful cause?

Cost: $400 per vehicle up to two people $50 for each additional person

Location: Elks Group Campground Happy Jack Arizona -FSR 9717H, Happy Jack AZ 86024Coordinates: 34° 42' 32.2992" N 111° 6' 9.3996" W
Directions:From Flagstaff, Arizona, drive 55 miles south on FH 3 (Lake Mary Road) to AZ 87 at Clints Well. Turn left onto AZ 87. Drive approximately 20 miles to milepost 309.9. Turn left on FR 9717H and drive about one quarter mile to the campground.
From Winslow, Arizona, drive 32 miles south on AZ 87 for approximately 32 miles. Turn right on FR 9717H and drive about one quarter mile to the campground.

Campground Description: The Elks Group Campground sits among a mix of Ponderosa pines and juniper at an elevation of 6,500 feet offering a cool respite from the summer heat of the valley below. The campground is designed to meet the needs of large groups and can accommodate 300 people, offering picnic tables, grills, and fire pits. There are vault toilets.
The group campground is in a primitive setting on 6 acres. The site has a swing set, horseshoe pit, poles for a volleyball net, flagpole, pavilion, grills, picnic tables, a large fire ring, a 500-gallon water buffalo, trash collection and vault toilets.
Regulations:
- This is a primitive campsite with vault toilets. Please plan accordingly. No camping equipment will be provided.
- No children under the age of 15
- Dinner will be provided Friday and Saturday evening. Please plan to provide your own breakfast and lunch, as well as snacks and drinks.
- If you have radios/communication devices please bring them.
- All trail runs will be a guided event. All are required to stay with the group unless special communication is made with camp leaders.
- Dogs must be kept on leash at all times
Admin restrictions:
- No more than 50 people including volunteers. Campground will require additional toilets if we have over 50 people.
- Limit 15 rigs for safety and comfort
- Must have fullsize spare
