Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov was a Bulgarian philosopher, pedagogue, mystic, and esotericist. A leading 20th-century teacher of Western Esotericism in Europe, he was a disciple of Peter Deunov,
His philosophy teaches that everybody, regardless of race, religion, social position, intellectual ability or material means, is able to take part in the realization of a new period of brotherhood and peace on earth. This happens through the individual's personal transformation: growth in perfection and in harmony with the divine world. Whatever the topic, he invariably focuses on how one can better conduct life on earth. He taught that to achieve a better life, one must have a high ideal: "... if you have a High Ideal, such as the bringing of the Kingdom of God on earth, you obtain everything you wished for, you taste plenitude.
Initiatic science
He teaches the ancient principles of initiatic science. He describes the cosmic laws governing both the universe and the human being, the macrocosm and microcosm, and the exchanges that constantly take place between them.
Facilitator Bio:
Alex F. Crenshaw is the founder of the Zen Institute in Mt. Shasta, CA. At the age of 28 years old, he quit his job as a corporate accountant and began his semi-monastic Zen Buddhism training for seven years at the Rochester Zen Center in Upstate New York. Inspired by the teachings of the greatest Zen Masters to contribute to society, Alex volunteered for two years at the Sacramento Children’s Home, where he helped abused children. For a period of three years, he taught Zen Buddhism and meditation at the Folsom State Pr*son – one of the oldest prisons in the United States. During this time, Alex witnessed the positive transformation of the inmates as a result of their meditation practice amid the most difficult conditions. After moving to Mt. Shasta, California, he attended his first retreat of the Fraternal Forum where he was very inspired by the teaching of Master Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov and the commitment of the brothers and sisters. He considers the teachings of the initiatic science introduced by Master Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov as the key to solving the problems facing humanity. Alex collaborates every week on radio and television by sharing his knowledge of human potential, and by sharing topics related to mindfulness, children, women’s rights, how the subconscious mind works, and business. Alex works for a Fortune 500 company and offers conferences on human potential in several cities in the United States.
