About this Event

Join us for a fun and fascinating presentation that tells the story of Riverside architect Peter J. Weber and his wife Clara's "Old World Honeymoon" across the United States, Europe, and North Africa in 1931 and 1932. Their journey comes alive with original material never before seen by the public: Peter's artful photography and Clara's evocative letters that were sent home to her family. Old Riverside Foundation has created a comprehensive digital archive of these rare images and unraveled the story of their daring adventure at the height of the Great Depression. We've assembled the highlights of this remarkable trip (totaling over 8,000 photos and 100 letters) into a compelling 45-minute presentation that we're certain you'll be delighted by.

The cabin-like Izaak Walton Building at Fairmount Park is located at 2710 Dexter Drive and sits on the edge of Lake Evans. Complimentary beverages will be provided.
