In this workshop, you'll learn fun fusion bellydance combos and their accompanying zill patterns from Rachel Brice's Datura Styleimprov vocabulary. Get ready for fluid undulations, folky hipwork, sassy shimmies, and the classic ring of zills! No previous experience with group improv bellydance is necessary. At least 1-2 years of general bellydance experience and knowledge of basic zill patterns (like 3-3-3-3 and 3-3-7) are recommended but not required.

Megan Lee is a fusion, group improv, and cabaret style bellydancer and fire performer based in Southern Maryland. She started learning bellydance on and off in 2005 because it was something she'd always been curious about (mostly because of the costumes). After discovering what was then called "tribal fusion" on YouTube, she was completely hooked and joined her first troupe in 2011. Nowadays, Megan is a certified Datura Styleteacher who teaches at Vertical Dance Co in Callaway, MD and leads the Shimmy Circus Siren troupe.
