Come join us for a special conversation with Alison Eakle (Chief Content Officer) and Meg Marinis (Showrunner/EP)! Get ready to dive deep into the world of entertainment and media with these two industry experts. This in-person event will be held at the Wofford Denius UTLA Center for Entertainment & Media Studies - University of Texas At Austin, located in Burbank, California. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to learn from the best in the business! Doors open at 11:00 am. Panel begins at 11:30 am. This event is presented by The Hollywood Seminar - a committee of the Texas Exes Los Angeles Chapter in partnership with Wofford Denius UTLA Center for Entertainment & Media Studies and Shondaland. Event is open to all. We recommend a $10 donation to support future programs and future Texas Exes Los Angeles Chapter Scholars.




Alison Eakle (Chief Content Officer)As Chief Content Officer at Shondaland, Alison oversees the company's scripted and unscripted slate of feature film and television projects for Netflix and ABC. A Co-Executive Producer on "Bridgerton", "Inventing Anna", "Queen Charlotte", and "The Residence", she joined the company in 2013, developing projects for ABC including "How to Get Away with M**der", "The Catch", "For the People" and "Station 19"Alison began her career in features at Paramount Pictures, Paramount Vantage and Columbia Pictures. In 2010, she transitioned to television, helping start up Ellen DeGeneres' company A Very Good Production. She was named one of MARIE CLAIRE’s 2016 New Guard: America’s 50 Most Influential Women, and an Ojai Fellow as part of CAA’s 2019 Convene. She's a graduate of both Georgetown University and the University of Texas at Austin.




Meg Marinis (Showrunner/Executive Producer)Meg Marinis is showrunner and executive producer of ABC’s GREY’S ANATOMY, television’s longest-running prime time medical drama. She began her career as a Writer’s Production Assistant on the show’s third season and served as writer’s assistant and medical researcher before being promoted to staff writer. During her nearly two decades at GREY'S, she has penned over 30 episodes. A Houston native, she is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin’s Plan II Honors Program with a dual degree in Radio-Television-Film.
