My First Library Card: Super Reader VIP Party

If your child signed up for their first library card between April 1 and September 20, 2025, join us for the My First Library Card: Super Reader VIP Party during the Ashley Bryan Art Series. New library cardholders in grades K-5 are invited to enjoy stories, games, prizes, and super – sized surprises on September 20, 2025. Your library card will give you access to the fun.

Stay and enjoy our Ashley Bryan Series Youth Art Festival from 11am-3p.m.

The ABAS Festival will engage the community with Carole Boston Weatherford and her son, Jeffery Boston Weatherford. They are a dynamic, creative duo in children’s and young adult literature, renowned for their profound exploration of African American heritage and history. Additionally, we will have puppet storytelling shows, face painting, art classes, family literacy, Henna temporary tattoos, creative writing workshops, chalk art, and free lunch.
