About this Event

Ceramics Artist-in-Residence Day Brièrre presents Stitched, on view July 4-25 in the Annex Gallery. Join us for her Artist Talk on July 25th from 5:30-7 pm!

Stitched is a personal exploration of transformation in the wake of heartbreak. Drawing from journal entries, allegorical narratives, and archetypal imagery, the artist charts a path through the descent into grief and self-confrontation, the “Dark Night of the Soul.” Vulnerability becomes both armor and offering, while intuition cuts through illusion like a blade. Through stitched ceramics fragments, this exhibition embodies storytelling, symbolism, and raw emotional truth. This body of work functions as both shadow work and an open diary. It is an invitation to witness a process of unraveling and reassembly.
