Community Partner Listening Session
About this Event
Do you work with older adults or for another stakeholder whose work impacts older adults?
If so, you are invited to participate in the County’s Age-Friendly planning process!
Background: The World Health Organization’s Age-friendly Cities framework addresses eight interconnected “domains of livability” that identify and address barriers impacting the well-being and participation of older individuals. (Source: https://extranet.who.int/agefriendlyworld/age-friendly-cities-framework/).
Santa Clara County received its Age-Friendly designation in 2018; you can find out more about the original action planning at: https://www.agefriendlysiliconvalley.org/.
To maintain this designation, the County began work to update its age-friendly planning in September 2024. This planning launched with a survey asking questions about the eight domains of livability. The survey was open to Santa Clara County residents 45 and older and 2,100 surveys were submitted.
Six community listening sessions were conducted across the county in June and July and now we'd like to hear from our partners.

Parking is available in the designated visitor parking and in unmarked spots in the parking garage level 2-5.
This event will happen in two rooms. The main room will have capacity for 36 attendees with additional capacity in an overflow room.
