The Big Sunday PikNik
About this Event
At PikNikTable every supper club becomes an opportunity to expand your world without ever leaving the neighbourhood. It's where the art of gathering reveals its gentle power not just to feed the body but to nourish the soul, forge connections and remind us that some of life's greatest adventures happen around a table in a front room among friends you haven't met yet.āāāāāāāāāāāāāāāā
This is the kind of cooking that happens when a chef's heart has travelled widely but found its home in unexpected places. Each dish carries personal history, a story of markets explored, techniques learned, flavours discovered and then reimagined through a distinctly personal lens. The Kerala curry might carry the memory of morning boats and coconut groves but it's finished with a technique learned in a Roman kitchen, plated with an aesthetic borrowed from Mexican street food culture.
Meet Our Founder - Nicki Merali.
Iām lucky enough to split my time between London and Kerala, India where I run my own little cafe and community space. I host Yoga retreats internationally and love nothing more than bringing people together over delicious food and drink. Every meal is an opportunity to make new friends, catch up with old friends and savour life's simple pleasures.
Ready to join our table?
On Sunday 10th August we will be offering a special evening of Keralan inspired curries, we will be eating off banana leaves (maybe with our hands if you are feeling experimental!). All the curries are homemade using traditional techniques that I have learnt while working along chef's in Kerala, India. I will be adding my own personal flair using the best seasonal ingredients available from our local north London farmers markets. Vegetarian Menu!
