Calling all playwrights! Got a story that deserves a spotlight? Step into the heat of live theater and leave your best 10 minutes on the stage.
WHAT TO EXPECT
DAY 1: The Stage Is Yours |August 13 | 6PM–10PM
THE PLAYWRIGHT. YOUR CAST. OUR JUDGES
Bring your strongest 10-minute scene to life in a live staged reading. Industry pros provide real-time feedback in front of a live audience—with Apollo Theater energy and American Idol-style commentary. At the end of the night, the Top 4 Finalists are selected.
DAY 2: The Audience Decides | August 14 | 7PM–10PM
THE PLAYWRIGHT. THE CAST. THE AUDIENCE.
The Final 4 return to the stage. This time, it’s the audience that picks the winner.

- $200 Cash
- Full-length co-production of winning play with OArtsCo*
- Marketing & production support
ELIGIBILITY & SUBMISSION INFO
- Submit by July 25
- Entry fee: $25 per play (limit 2 submissions)
- Must submit a completed full-length play (90–120 mins)
- Live staged reading must feature a 10-minute excerpt
- Max 5 actors per play; doubling allowed
- Produced & unproduced works accepted
