Modernizing Manufacturing Systems and Their Operation - The Role of System Integrators and Introduction to Ignition Software

Manufacturing professionals can learn how to help their company succeed in modernizing manufacturing systems through this one-day workshop at Greenville Tech, focusing on the role of system integrators, particularly Ignition Software, in their digital transformation. This hands-on workshop includes sessions on Networked Manufacturing Systems, Introduction to Ignition Software, Building Digital Dashboards, and AI/Machine Learning in Modernizing Manufacturing Systems.

Participants will be guided through:

• A General Approach to Modernizing Manufacturing Systems: Explore the principles of Industry 4.0 and related frameworks and standards. Know about smart and digital manufacturing systems and a general framework for implementing such systems.
• Introduction to Ignition Software: Learn about Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and how to install, configure, and utilize Ignition software to build basic digital tools.
• Building Digital Dashboards: Hands-on activities will take you through creating custom dashboards that visualize real-time data and integrate seamlessly with manufacturing systems.

Attendees will benefit from the combined expertise of academic scholars and industry experts through this collaborative effort. All attendees successfully completing this workshop will receive a certificate of completion from Greenville Technical College.
