Kokedama Workshop at Division
About this Event
Join Portland Nursery houseplant manager Chris for a kokedama workshop! Kokedama is the Japanese art of growing plants in moss-covered balls of soil. Once the plant is covered in soil and moss, the ball is bound with string and then displayed as a living sculpture. There are many different houseplants that can thrive in a kokedama planting and in this workshop, you'll explore some of the different options before creating your very own kokedama to take home and enjoy.
Date: Sat July 19th 2025
Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Portland Nursery on Division (9000 SE Division)
** The cost of the workshop includes all materials to make one kokedama ball with the 2” houseplant of your choice!**
***All classes this summer will be held in our greenhouse Hoop House 2, which is located out in the yard of the nursery, near the trees and small fruits. It is a large greenhouse that functions as a covered outdoor area. If the weather is warm, we will have water available, but please remember to dress so that you are comfortable during the presentation.***
