About our speaker, Mary Kathryn Evans
Mary Kathryn Evans is a Licensed Professional Counselor & Supervisor in Jackson, Mississippi. Mary Kathryn has a special interest in integrating faith with how we relate to our bodies. Mary Kathryn owns and operates her own practice and supervises at Reformed Theological Seminary on a contract basis. She is married to Hunter, and they have two daughters, Amelia (4) and Anne Clay(1). The Evans family are members at Redeemer Church in Jackson.
A Newk's lunch will be available for purchase in Mabray Hall and is payable in person by cash, check, or scanning a QR code. $5.00 per lunch with a maximum of $10 per family for moms with multiple attending daughters.

Info: For Mothers & Daughters, weβll discuss a biblical frame for viewing our bodies. This will include an overview of what Scripture tells us about our bodies as well as evaluating influences outside the Church that impact our view of self. Whether youβre a mother or daughter, you have a story with your body and you are experiencing the unique pressures and stress of our culture. Mary Kathryn will offers insights and encouragements for honoring our bodies as the vessels by which we experience life.

Info: For Mothers, Session 2 will be challenge you to evaluate your own relationship with your body and how this relates to what your children think and believe. During this time, weβll engage in previously asked Q&A, as well as discuss prompts or scripts you can use to engage this topic with your children.
