STEAM & Trades Academy: Drone Edition

Learn the skills needed to become FAA Part 107 Certified with instruction from Drone Event LLC!

About this Event

Young adults ages 16-24 are invited to join us to engage in 4 weeks (7/5, 7/12, 7/19 & 7/26) of interactive workshops that will enhance their abilities to properly and safely fly Drones.

Thanks to generous donations from The Chicago Fund for SAFE and PEACEFUL COMMUNITIES, SBB and IECA, we are able to offer young adults an interactive academy that engages teens in:

-Advanced Flying

-Aerial Photography

-Aerial Videography

-FAA Part 107 Drone Certification

In order to participate, we ask that each participant commit to attend all 4 Saturdays in order to ensure they gain the skills necessary to receive the FAA Part 107 Drone Licence upon completion of the workshops.

In order to attend, a parent or student (if 21 or older) will have to agree to our 2 waivers:

-Pictures & videos will be taken during our STEAM & Trades Academy- Drone Edition. In order for your child to participate, you must agree to our photography/videography waiver: I understand that The Brown House Experience, Drone Events, The Chicago Fund for Safe and Peaceful Communities, SBB, IECA and TBHE affiliates may use the images in print publications, online publications, presentations, websites, and social media. I also understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.

-The STEAM & Trades Academy- Drone Edition will be interactive, which includes using certain drone supplies and products. In order to participate, you must agree to the following waiver: I waive, release, and discharge from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my child's death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to my child including traveling to and from the TBHE STEAM & Trades Academy.
