Capitalism in 2025, the reboot
About this Event
We can all agree the economy is not working for the vast majority of people. Some people refer to this period as ‘late stage capitalism’ but what does that mean?
Meanwhile the Labour Party is fixated on economic growth measured by meaningless indicators, and Trump’s tariffs are apparently changing the global economic order.
To make sense of all this and understand how we can fundamentally change the economic system to deliver for the working and middle classes, rather than just the rich, join us for a very special discussion with world famous economist Ha-Joon Chang.
Ha-Joon was due to join us in June but he was under the weather. Luckily for us, he has agreed to return in July to speak to us again.
Prof Chang has written several bestselling books, including ‘23 things they don’t tell you about capitalism’, ‘Economics: A user’s guide’, and ‘Edible economics.’ He is one of the most engaging speakers I’ve ever seen, so you’re in for a treat!
Book early because this one is sure to be a sell-out!
