About this Event

Local artist Linus Schief joins us for "Chillin' at the Chul" for a blind contour portrait drawing workshop!

What does this mean? What is blind contour portraiture? Basically, it is a method of drawing where you focus on the person in front of you, while your hand draws the lines and contours you are seeing. You won't look down at the paper! When you don't look down, you get to be just as surprised as anyone at the results. Removing your gaze from the paper allows you to tune into the person you're drawing, stay present, and quirt your "inner critic." By not looking, you have no control over the outcome which can be very freeing. This is a very fun thing to do and it's not serious, so don't worry if you don't have drawing experience. Often provokes lots of laughter, so if you love laughing and trying new things, you're the perfect candidate!

There are different ticket prices for children and adults, bring the whole family!
