What Is Work For? Part III
About this Event
Work in God’s world is for more than simply doing evangelism, being ethical, and stewarding finances — but it’s also not less! Oftentimes, we find that discourse around the concept of faith and work can be reduced to “doing evangelism”, or “making money”, or “working with integrity." But we want to ask instead, “How can we value and grow in the many facets for which God created work?” Once a month over dinner, we’ll gather thoughtful leaders to explore these topics in depth together: Evangelism, Ethics, and Economics. Join us for one or all three!
An Economic Vision for Work
For many of us, economics feels like something that happens far above our pay grade—markets, policies, and systems we have little control over. But economics is deeply woven into our daily work: how value is created, how resources are shared, and whose flourishing is prioritized. As Christians, how should we think about profit, productivity, and provision? What does Scripture have to say about wealth, labor, and justice? In this session, we’ll explore how a theological vision of work invites us to engage economics not just as a system to navigate, but as a realm where God’s purposes for human dignity and community can take root.
Join professionals from various industries to think deeply about these questions and explore answers together. We'll start with dinner and connecting at 6:00 with content at 6:30.
