At the end of June and December, in Japanese Tradition, we offer a Special Ritual to Purify all the disgrace, impurity and shame in the name of the Sun Goddess AMATERASU. In many cultures, the Sun is ruled by a Male God, but in Japan it is a Female Goddess. She gives all the Abundance, Beauty and Protection to her Children on the Earth ruling over the Daytime. Her name is AMATERASU O-MIKAMI - the Goddess of Celestial Light that shineth upon all the manifested world - which penetrates all the shadows and darkness to turn them into Light.
