About this Event

Meet on the Trail, Leave as Friends

  • A group ride out (or run/hike/paddle if preferred) from our Inverness store
  • Overnight camping included (toilets available, no showers or electric)
  • Saturday evening meal and Sunday breakfast included
  • GPX of the route provided 3 days before
  • Drinks available to buy from the Black Isle bar
  • Group ride back to the store on Sunday

We’ll meet at the start point at Alpkit Inverness on Saturday morning. Then we ride, run, hike or paddle to our camp spot at the Black Isle Brewery where we'll get the campfires lit, the Black Isle bar open, and enjoy hot food and and an evening of live music.

The routes

You’ll choose from a variety of circular routes all bearing down to the same camp spot. We estimate the cycle route will be between 40 - 60km on mixed terrain of gravel, forest track, fire road and quiet paths with 800 - 1200m of elevation gain. We'll look out for one another on the trails but be aware that this is a self-supported ride with no checkpoints and minimal assistance. Go solo or with others. You can even run, walk or paddle in if you prefer (GPX routes mapped and available 3 days before the event). Pause when you like. It's not about pace.

The camp spot

We arrive at a welcoming camp spot. Not a public campsite but a spot we love and want to share with you. Expect essential facilities only with toilets available but no showers or electric hookup. Set up camp and settle in for a relaxed, low key, good-vibes-only night - everyone is welcome.

The morning

You wake with the sun. Coffee’s brewing. Camp comes down, we leave no trace. Then we set off together and complete the circle. Meet on the trail. Leave as friends.
