About this Event
Los Angeles–based kintsugi instructor Kat Kusumori-McDowell will join us to lead a no-experience-required course in the Japanese art form.
Kat learned kintsugi (the traditional art of mending broken ceramics) under a kintsugi master in Japan. Rather than attempting to mask cracks and flaws, kintsugi highlights the fractures in gold—a physical reminder that being “broken” can mark the start of a richer and more beautiful life.
This three-hour workshop will be about more than learning to repair pottery. It will be an exploration of finding beauty in imperfections and a celebration of the stories behind every crack.
This workshop will be hosted on our third floor, which is only accessible by stairs.
There are two ticketing options:
- Kintsugi Workshop, Standard – $200 (includes all materials, tools & supplies; each guest will receive a small broken ceramic piece to repair and take home)
- Kintsugi Workshop, Plus-Up – $250 (includes all materials, tools & supplies, with an upgraded broken ceramic piece (handmade pottery from Japan) to repair and take home)
Ticket Information | Ticket Price |

Kintsugi Workshop, Standard | USD 215 |
Kintsugi Workshop, Plus-Up | USD 269 |
