A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu event for cyber-security professionals hosted by Jeremiah Grossman during Black Hat & Defcon.

About this Event

Taking place at the Syndicate MMA gym in Las Vegas, Jeremiah Grossman hosts the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Smackdown and welcomes practitioners from across InfoSec industry. We come together to train, learn from elite professional fighters, and have a great time with those who share the same passions.

Former UFC champion and legend Forrest Griffin will be our head instructor along with several other famous fighters making for a fun and truly unique experience. Last year we had Merab Dvalishvili (UFC Bantam Weight Champion), Raul Rosas Jr. (UFC Bantam Weight Contender), and several others elite grapplers. All skill levels are welcome, from first-timers to black belts, and every participant will receive a custom event rash guard (Sponsored by Nucleus Security).

Following our mat time, food trucks serving delicious food will be parked outside Syndicate for all of us to grab a bite, hang out, and share stories with new friends. Join us and please feel free to bring a +1 to spectate.

Format: This will be a 2-hour session geared for No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu starting at 6p. Kimonos/GIs are not required. We start the class with light warmups, followed by learning new moves, sparring for those interested, and then wrap things up with group pictures. Everyone attends the event to learn and have fun, so safety and respect is of the utmost importance.

Sponsored by Nucleus Security, Wirespeed, Grossman Ventures, and Toybox Car Club.
