The 4-H market poultry project is an 8-month project whereby youth raise chickens which are auctioned off at the end of the project.

About this Event

This project is open to youth ages 5 - 18 as of September 1, 2025.

When enrolling, please choose the total number of tickets to equal the number of children participating in the project. In order to protect our youth's privacy, we are only asking for parental information on the enrollment form. The cost of this project includes 6 chicks per child.

We will be offering classes to help prepare our youth for showmanship, skill-a-thon, record books, and the auction. While not mandatory, they are highly encouraged, and youth attending classes will receive points toward Champion Exhibitor. Classes are open to Market Poultry and Purebred Poultry participants.
