About this Event

We will watch Throwaway People. Correspondent Roger Wilkins investigates the economic and social roots of the black underclass, focusing on the struggle of young black men in one neighborhood in Washington, DC. This will last 50 minutes. Afterwards, we will hear from High Aspirations and learn more about what they doing to impact our community. We will learn about a new foundation established in KC that gives scholarships to young men in the Greater Kansas City Area. We will also allow the sharing of announcements about funding sources and events that are coming soon.
