An Evening of Learned Discourse, Lofty Assertions, and Possibly True Discoveries
August 16th, August 23rd, and September 13th
5 PM – 8 PM | Hayward, CA
As the sun dips low and the day begins to soften, the Tavern welcomes you once more—its wooden walls raised beneath the trees, the scent of roasted meats curling through the warm air, and the hum of conversation already thick with certainty.
This is no ordinary gathering.
For three evenings only, the tavern becomes a haven for those who know things—or at least believe they do.
Alchemists, sages, field researchers, forgotten prophets, amateur anatomists, and learned wanderers will rub elbows, raise tankards, and speak truths that only they have uncovered.
Some theories may be groundbreaking.
Some may be groundless.
But all shall be spoken with conviction.
🍗 What Awaits:
- A full rustic meal and homebrewed ales, served as the light fades and the lanterns glow
- An immersive fantasy tavern enclosed by timber walls and leafy canopy
- Company fit for a council—or at least a very enthusiastic footnote war
- And should you seek it… a quest that begins before the tavern doors open
🧠 The Quest (Hidden in Plain Sight)
Unlike quests past, this one does not wait in a dusty corner of the tavern.
It has already begun.

🎫 Tickets
To preserve the sanctity of the tavern (no-shows) and deter illusory signups, this event carries a reservation fee.
However, a code to waive that fee entirely is available through our Discord and newsletter.
We encourage guests to use it, and provide contibutions instead through donations (see below).
🪙Donations
Donations are accepted in person at the event (cash, Venmo, or Zelle).
A $25 donation is suggested to support food, drink, and atmosphere.
Those who offer more may unlock… curious incentives.
Since 2019, the Crossroads Tavern has hosted over 250 guests across more than 25 gatherings.
Some come to feast. Some to listen.
And some… to be heard.
The hour grows late. The candles are lit. The scrolls are open.
Come take your seat among the wise.

Info: Ales are poured, and the first wave of bold minds may feel compelled to share their revelations. Platters of warm bread, cheeses, and small fare are offered to guests. Games, conversation, and subtle signs of the quest may begin to emerge…

Twilight Reckonings
Info: As the day wanes and shadows stretch long, final thoughts drift through the tavern like smoke from the hearth. Those among the tavern may find that the evening holds one last turn of fate. Whether by chance or design, a Wise Wizard may yet rise before the final bell.
