WANTED! REWARD 10K CREDITS: A day of sci-fi narrative miniature gaming.
About this Event
HOW WILL THIS EVENT WORK?
Participants will generate a single bounty hunter before the day using the W!R10K rules, spending 1000 credits on weapons, gear or companions. I will be available by email for any rules questions you might have!
Once you buy a ticket, you will receive a BOUNTY HUNTER REGISTRATION NEUROJACK (Google Forms link) to submit the data for your bounty hunter and any companions, droids or beasts. Your BHIC (Bounty Hunter Identification Card) will be available to pick up on the day.
There will be several games throughout the day (at least 3 games perhaps more time permitting), on adjacent tables representing different planets. Players can pursue the bounties they wish, move between planets, form alliances, double-cross each other, tangle with Space Kops, or just cause chaos across the galaxy.
Prizes will be given at the end of the day for Most Credits Earned, Best Reputation, Worst Reputation, Wild Card, and Best Model.
Bring tape measure, dice (several d6s and a polyhedral set will do) pencils!
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS GAME?
WANTED:REWARD 10K CREDITS is an indie science-fiction narrative game by Tanner Simpson (@simpsominiatures), Erick (@goobinsgitz) and Gabe (@nile_nellie) with a freeform attitude, similar in scope to Rogue Trader and 90s Necromunda but with a more OTT and satirical tone. It is a fairly crunchy hybrid between a miniatures game and an RPG with a toolbox approach to rules and a crazy freewheeling attitude. The rules are currently in beta and can be freely inspected here.
DO'S AND DON'TS
- NO UNPAINTED MODELS. Even a simple monochrome base coat/dip wash/zenithal highlight is fine but no plastic/metal from the sculpt should be visible.
- NO RULES LAWYERING. The spirit of the event is friendly chaos designed to generate crazy stories. If you're a hardcore play-to-win person this probably isn't your bag.
- NO 40K MODELS! No shade to 40k players, but that's not really what this is about and GW models stick out like a sore thumb. Of course, if your 40k model is kitbashed, mangled, mutated to fit the W!R10k vibe that's cool, and bitz from 40k models in conversions is totally fine.
- NO D-BAGS. Everyone with an interest is welcome at this event and the Southey Taproom is an inclusive space. If that gives you a problem, you'll probably have a bad time.
CAN I HELP OUT?
YES!!!! I am doing my best to amass and paint a large amount of science fiction models and terrain but I am just one dude and sometimes this game calls for crowds of aliens, freaks and gutter scum, so if you can assist by bringing painted models to represent NPCs, robots or monsters, help out by bringing terrain or tables etc I would really appreciate it - you shall not go un-rewarded!
