Want to learn how to brew better coffee? Either at home or in a coffee shop?

This course involves lots of hands-on time brewing and tasting coffee. We’ll brew coffee using several different brewing devices. This includes manual and automatic gravity drip, plus different styles of immersion brewers.

We’ll use our senses and the Coffee Flavor Wheel to evaluate the brewed coffee. Then we'll vary the essential elements of brewing and discuss what happens.

• No prior experience is necessary, though completing Introduction to Coffee is strongly recommended.
• Successful course completion and a short online written exam qualifies the learner for the Specialty Coffee Association’s Brewing Foundation certificate. Certificate fees are included in the price of the class.
