Grief & Hope Benefit
About this Event
Grief & Hope Benefit
In response to this devastation, Grief & Hope, a community-led organization created to provide direct support to those affected—many of whom lost everything. So far, nearly $1.5 million has been distributed to 226 artists, helping them begin to rebuild their lives, their homes, and their studios. Grief & Hope is the only fire relief effort targeted to the creative community continuing to operate and adapt after the immediate disaster. The need is far from over.
August 14th offers a chance for us to come together and continue this essential work. The event will be hosted at the home of philanthropist and collector Diane Solomon, along with artist Andrea Bowers, art advisor Lisa Marie Marks, gallerist Ariel Pittman, arts and philanthropy advisor Allison Derusha, and a dedicated team of volunteers who believe deeply in the power of art and community.
Please join us in gathering to raise awareness and critical funds for artists and cultural workers whose homes, studios, and artwork were destroyed during the Southern California wildfires this past January. Together, we can help rebuild lives—and show the world the transformative power of art and community.
