About this Event

Are you a wildlife photographer curious about shooting video on your DSLR or mirrorless camera? Join Alison Kondler, Master Birder and wildlife filmmaker, for this unique in-the-field video workshop.

On this field trip, you’ll learn the proper camera settings to capture smooth, focused videos of birds and other wildlife. Beginners to experts welcome.

Location:
Littleton, CO. The exact location and map will be emailed to registered guests the afternoon before the trip.

What to bring:
DSLR or mirrorless camera, extra batteries, a telephoto lens (200mm or longer), and a sturdy tripod. Recommended (but not required): Neutral density filters (3-8+ stops), external monitor, fluid tripod head, and external microphone.

Leader’s backstory:
Alison is a wildlife photographer turned videographer who launched her Colorado-based video production company, A Video Design LLC, in 2017. In 2020, she began creating educational bird content for social media under the handle @birding_by_ear, sharing her knowledge of birds on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Today, she has over half a million followers across platforms.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to Denver Audubon, a conservation and research nonprofit dedicated to transforming Denver into the most bird-friendly city in the U.S.
