For parents/carers of young people in Year 9 and above with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities

About this Event

For parents and carers of young people in year 9 and above with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities in York, Leeds and North Yorkshire to:

• Get inspired and explore post-16 options in employment or education
• Speak to approximately 30 specialist education providers, employers, and support services
• Book onto provider open days later in the academic year
• Hear about Supported Internships

Advice and guidance will also be available from Preparation for Adulthood and Specialist Learning and Employment Adviser teams. DWP Disability Services will also be there covering areas such as Access to Work, Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children.

A quiet area will be available.
