You Can Hike With Us: 8/23/25 at Cleary Lake Regional Park

Register for our next hike and book exchange with the YCHWU crew! We will have author EIlie Palmer joining us on our hike.

About this Event

You Can Hike with Us is an inclusive hiking group for all skill levels. Our meetups are open to all adults (18+) who self-identify as women.

This month we are thrilled to have Ellie Palmer, local author (Four Weekends and a Funeral, Anywhere With You) joining our group. In addition to our special guest, we are hosting a post-hike used book exchange.

Book Exchange:

-Particpation is fully voluntary

-Bring 1-2 books to exchange

-Take home as many as you bring

-Any leftover books will be donated

Location:

Cleary Lake Regional Park - 18106 Texas Avenue, Prior Lake, MN 55372

We will meet at the pavillion area.

Cost: FREE!

To be respectful of time, we will do quick intros and embark on our hike around 1:15pm. Please ensure you allow enough travel time to arrive by 1pm

Hike:

We plan to do the Cleary Lake trail, about 3.4 miles, the trail is paved and mostly flat. AllTrails map.

What to bring: Hiking boots/sneakers with good traction, dress for the weather, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, phone/camera, water, snacks.

Due to the larger group setting, no dogs or pets unless they are working/service animals.

We will cap sign-ups at 40 attendees. This ensures everyone joining us has a comfortable hiking experience and avoids negatively impacting the experience of others recreating on the trails.

If we’ve hit capacity, please join the waitlist. We’ll do our best to accommodate as we receive cancellations. Keep an eye on your email for notifications!
