17th Annual Backpack Giveaway and Nonprofit Community Resource Fair

Denver, CO- The Silva Family Foundation Presents: The 17th Silva Family Foundation’s Annual Community School Supply Giveaway.

August 2nd, 2025 at Sloans Lake Park. This year, the foundation will distribute over4000

backpacks full of needed school supplies. Rev. Dr. Jose Silva has stood steadfast in his commitment to stand in the educational gap for Colorado’s youth for over 31 years. The Silva Family Foundation was created from the societal barriers and challenges that Rev. Dr. Silva endured as a homeless youth and a survivor of gun violence in Denver, Colorado. The Silva Family Foundation has given out over 33,000 backpacks of school supplies in 16 years.

Details: August 2nd, 2025 10am-2pm

The festival will take place at Sloan's Lake Park in Denver, Colorado.

*Child(ren) must be present, (1) backpack per student, no max on household*
