About this Event

Welcome to the Ameren WISE Totally Rad 80's 5K Run/Walk benefitting St. Louis Girls on The Run and Crisis Nursery of Effingham, Illinois! Get ready to lace up your sneakers and travel back in time to the totally tubular 80's. Join us on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 8:00 AM at Jefferson Barracks Park for a gnarly event filled with neon colors, and big hair. We will also have THE BEST 80's PLAYLIST rocking the park!

This event is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking for a fun way to get some exercise, this event is for you. So grab your leg warmers, dust off your fanny pack, and come join us for a rad time!

Don't forget to invite your friends and family to join in on the fun. There will be prizes for the best 80's costumes, so be sure to dress to impress. See you there!

I grant full permission to Ameren Services Company and/or any person or entity authorized by it to use my name, age, finish place and finish time in the pubic domain.

I further grant full permission for Ameren Services Company and/or any person or entity authorized by it to use any photograps, recordings, or any other record of this event for any purpose.

Info: Please park in the parking lots closest to the Jefferson Barracks Old Ordnance Room Museum located at 346 Bagby Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. There will be a smaller parking lot in front of the Museum. There is also a large parking lot on the other side of The Museum. There is plenty of parking for everyone!

Registration and Pre-Event Activities

Info: Please check in at the registration table located in front of the Gold Star pavilion. Once you are checked in, make your way to the many organizations represented in the 5K Village!

Warm Up and Stretches

Info: Exos fitness professionals will lead everyone in a series of warm up exercises and stretches prior to the big event! We don't want anyone to pull a hammy!

Totally Rad 5K Run/Walk!

Info: Don't be late to the beginner's line! Run or walk - it's all up to you!

After 5K Activities

Info: Grab some light snacks, water, and coffee to refuel! Participate in the Totally Rad 80's Costume Contests (Adult, Teen, Kid, Team (up to 6 people) and K9) for some totally awesome prizes! Visit local organizations in the 5k Village! Don't forget to stop by the WISE booth to get your attendance gifts, too!
