Hands on experience with our trainers and staff working on expanding your knowledge of handling your donkey.

About this Event

We want to build your knowledge of training your donkeys to be well behaved and understand why their brain works the way it does. Hands on seminars with our head trainers on working through haltering, walking and behaving for the farrier.

This class is oriented towards new and old donkey owners who want to grow their knowledge of the animal!

8:30- 9:00 am

Check-in (gate opens at 8:20)

9:00 - 12:00 pm - Interactive lectures with hands on experience

Reviewing and understanding the psychology and physiology of donkeys and how they are different from horses

The importance of training and working with our donkeys

Break out sessions with our trainers on haltering, hoof picking, walking and trailer loading

12:00 - 12:30 pm - Lunch (provided)

12:30 - 2:15 pm - Farrier presented lecture and Q&A

Important tools to have for donkey hoof care

Break out sessions with trainers and seeing hoof issues and how to treat them

2:15 - 3:00 pm - Final Remarks and survey

Cost:

$75 per person, includes a gourmet boxed lunch and beverages throughout the day. $50 of the registration fee can be applied toward the future adoption fee of a donkey (once approved).
