3-session workshop | Mondays 1/26, 2/2, 2/9
In this hands-on class, students will design and create their own ceramic jewelry from start to finish. Week one focuses on forming components using hand-building techniques: beads, pendants, charms, medallions, and connector elements. We’ll explore surface design, texture carving, pattern, and the fundamentals of functional jewelry scale and durability. Students will choose their glaze palettes and pieces will be fired between sessions.
In week two, we’ll glaze and finish our ceramic components, exploring how color interacts with carved line work, stamped motifs, and natural surface variation.
In week three, we’ll assemble our jewelry using professional findings and hardware. Students can create earrings, necklaces, bracelets, or mixed sets, and will learn basic wire-working and finishing to make their unique pieces durable & wearable.
Whether you’re new to clay or already familiar with ceramics, this class offers a unique way to connect form, function, and personal style on a small scale.
All materials, glazes, and kiln firings included. Students will leave with 2–4 finished wearable pieces.
