From harbour swims to False Bay views, this is triathlon in one of the country's most spectacular coastal towns.

"You've probably visited Simon's Town to see the penguins at Boulders Beach, ridden these roads during the Cape Town Cycle Tour, or explored the spectacular coastline towards Cape Point. Just 30 minutes from Cape Town, this beautiful False Bay town offers the perfect family-friendly weekend away, with fresh seafood, seaside cafés, hidden coves and unforgettable ocean views.

The Swim:
Start with a Kona-style jetty dive into the calm, protected waters of Simon's Town Harbour. Swim towards Long Beach before returning past the historic naval base and into the yacht basin.

The Bike:
Ride one of South Africa's most iconic cycling routes. Climb Smitswinkel, take in breathtaking views, pass Cape Point and turn near Red Hill before heading home on closed roads.

The Run:
A flat, fast route follows Long Beach towards Glencairn before returning to Simon's Town Harbour. Athletes tackling multiple laps will be welcomed each time by the crowds and music in Jubilee Square.

One thing's for sure, the Cape Point Triathlon will deliver the same signature 'serious-fun', great value-for-money experience athletes have come to love at Blue Lagoon, Race2Hermanus and Garden Route Triathlon."
