Zepukuji Play Park is one of our favorite local events! It is hosted by a group of Montessori-style educators who specialize in outdoor education. The staff are incredible!


They set up a variety of stations in the park that kids can try. For example, there is always a music station with musical instruments, and there is a sports station with rackets, balls, baseball gloves, etc. There is sometimes a fire station where kids gather sticks, make a fire, and roast marshmallows. There is even a carpentry station where kids can use hammers, nails, and saws to make things from wood. Sometimes hitting your fingers with a hammer is the best education! 


Rain or shine. The event is free and no donation is expected, but I always donate 1000 yen that can go towards supplies. Please consider joining us on the 14th!
