Join artist Rich Adams for an engaging introduction to watercolor illustration! In this workshop, you’ll explore the fundamentals of natural science illustration and discover the essential tools and techniques used to capture the natural world. Whether you are a total beginner or looking to refine your existing watercolor skills, this class offers an engaging, supportive environment to grow as a naturalist artist. And you’ll get to focus on one of the most delightful insects to illustrate: butterflies! Rich will guide you through the process of sketching, illustration, and watercolor, and you’ll go home with a beautiful work of art.

We provide all the essential supplies needed to complete the course. For those who want to build their own professional kit, we’ve also partnered with Frame of Mind [https://www.frameofmindmt.com/] to curate a special supplies list! Just bring a pencil, an eraser, and your enthusiasm—let’s dive into this amazing world together and sharpen your illustration skills.

Instructor: Rich Adams has been an illustrator since the early 1990’s, having bounced through the corporate world before landing back in art full time around 2005. Rich’s artwork is really a reflection of his love for the natural world. If his work can connect with other people’s experiences and love of the natural world, he feels like it has served its function.
