Want to start the morning with a moment of calm? Need to decompress from the work week? Trying to incorporate more self-care into your day to day life? Join us for Butterfly Meditation every other Sunday, meditation includes 10-15 minutes of guided meditation followed by about 40 minutes of silent self-reflection in our Butterfly House, surrounded by tropical plants, butterflies, moths, quail, a few finches, plus Tina our pacman frog. 

There will be seating provided, or you can bring your own yoga mat (yoga mats will not be provided). Our lovely Visitor Relations Coordinator, Ashley Sinclair, who recently received a certificate in Mindfulness, will be leading the meditations. This meditation with butterflies is limited to 15 participants, and pre-registration is required (walk-in spots are never guaranteed, but call ahead of time if interested). Water bottles, yoga mats, supportive tools, and journals are encouraged. There are free lockers provided for purses, bags, coats, jackets, and other warm layers as you enter the Insectarium & check in at the Admissions desk. 

Please show up at least 5 minutes before 9am, as late arrivals cannot be accommodated; doors will be shut and locked by 9:00am. 

Registration does not include admission to the Insectarium; MBHI does not open for regular business hours until 12pm on Sundays.
