Sheridan Reads: An Evening of Conversation with Tracey Lindberg
Join us at 7 p.m. in the Creativity Commons (Hazel McCallion Campus) for an evening of conversation and creativity with author Tracey Lindberg as we discuss her best-selling book Birdie.
Tracey Lindberg is a citizen of As’in’i’wa’chi Ni’yaw Nation Rocky Mountain Cree and hails from the Kelly Lake Cree Nation community. She is an award-winning academic writer and teaches Indigenous studies and Indigenous law at the University of Ottawa. She was the first Indigenous woman in Canada to complete her law degree at Harvard University and is thought to be the first Indigenous woman to earn a Ph.D. in law from a Canadian University.
We are pleased to announce the first 100 attendees to arrive at the event will receive a complimentary copy of Birdie. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The talk will be followed by a Q&A and a book signing.
This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis, so we would kindly encourage you to arrive early.
