The public is invited to Plead The Fifth, a night of storytelling, music, art, truth, and inspiration from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Vellichor Books and More shop at 101 E Tom Landry St, Mission, TX 78572 (upstairs NE entrance where the Tom Landry mural is) in downtown Mission.

Featured readers include Amanda Puryear El, Edward Vidaurre, Jose M. Ponce, and Daniel García Ordaz (a.k.a. The Poet Mariachi.) Featured musician is Ray Perez.

Featured writers will have 10--12 minutes to perform. An open-mic session will follow, as time permits--with 5 minutes per open-mic performer.

This is a free event brought to you by the Seven To Eight Poetry Project.

 We'd like to encourage guests to consider donating new or gently-used books, including textbooks, children's books, coffee table books, etc. to this new bookstore--the first-ever independent store (in recent memory) in downtown Mission. Donations of animal shelter products are also most welcome.

Note: This is one of Mission's oldest buildings and there is no elevator to the 2nd-story bookstore. Apologies and thanks.
